"Representative" Vos showed his true scales when he assaulted the freedom of conscience of one of the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks and demonstrated his penchant for cronyism, this time in reverse. He also exposed his fangs with the never very thinly veiled disdain he and his "caucus" from around the state hold for Wisconsin's urban centers and the folks that live there generally and for Milwaukee specifically. 

Whatever your position on funding for a new stadium for the team, or any other decision regarding the use of public funds for private purposes, the decision should be made on it's merits for the general welfare and NOT on the political positions of an American citizen, their ability to produce political payola or which party is the recipient. In fact it is against state corruption laws for Vos to do so!

But as we've seen repeatedly, that is not how the VOS / Valker Republicons who now rule the Badgered State roll when it comes to things like the corrupt WEDC and G-Tack's Walker directed bribery to the Wisconsin Club for Growths during the recall campaign in order to get their iron mine rammed through. That is how "business" is now conducted in what was once America's shining example of good governance, fair play and transparency. My once strong faith in the good sense and goodwill of the people of Wisconsin has been sorely shaken by the continued re-election of extreme, corrupt, slick-slithering and ill-willed career politicians like Robin Vos and his ilk.

Therefore, for the the @$$Oli$h exhibition of ill-liberal, venomous ill-will and disdain for representative democracy above and beyond the call of duty, the Gerrymanderer Vos is hereby awarded BAP's Forked Tongue and Fangs Award. FREEDUMB!

Vulture School Vos - Robbinhood in Reverse

Robbin "School Vulture" Vos, vassal to the feudal American Legislative Exchange Council (fALEC) stated yesterday that he is open to Grothman's proposal of tax credits for families to send their kids to private schools. Of course he is! It's another fALEC connived way to destroy the arch enemy of the Cult of Con, public education, while rewarding the rich!

Think of it! No longer will those kids in places like Mequon and Greenfield have to suffer the indignation of mingling with the student bodies at high schools the likes of Homestead and Whitnall that have poverty rates approaching single digits!

Do you think you have freedom? Do you think you're governed through the informed consent of the citizenry as the founders intended? Do you think your state legislator represents you and your neighbors? Well, do you know that lobbyists from global corporations are voting in secret along with your Republicon State Legislators across the country on laws to rule you from your statehouse!? That’s not democracy. That’s not a Republic, it’s a crassly selfish betrayal of what America is supposed to be.

Here in Wisconsin, State Assemblyman Robin Vos is the state chair of the lobbyist group the American Legislative Exchange Council and he is sworn to enact ALEC’s corporate agenda laws, in many cases nearly word for word from the ALEC draft model legislation. Laws that infringe on your Constitutional right to seek redress for grievances in a court of law in front of a jury of your peers. Among other things, these laws are designed to prevent you from suing a car dealership when they sell you a lemon or when a landlord (like Robin) decides to keep the security deposit for your college student’s apartment.

Robin Vos has been bribed with expenses paid ALEC “scholarships” to be wined and dined in a sunnier clime while being “educated” in the ALEC way. And Mr. Vos has been using his forked tongue ever since to sell their secret snake oil sauce on issues like tort reform, free market fundamentalism, voter fraud, the privilege to pollute and privatization for the fun and profit of the few. Don’t swallow this venomous brew, don’t even step in it!
